The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe observed World Patient Safety Day on 18th September 2025 to raise awareness about the importance of safety in healthcare and to instill a sense of social responsibility among teacher trainees.
The programme commenced with a formal session held at the college hall. A student representative delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the event by highlighting the significance of patient safety in ensuring a healthy society. A digital poster on World Patient Safety Day 2025 was displayed, emphasizing this year’s global theme and key messages.
Faculty members and student coordinators addressed the gathering, stressing the role of future teachers in spreading awareness on health, hygiene, and safety practices. They underlined that teachers, apart from their academic duties, also contribute to building health-conscious communities.
