EARTHQUAKE AWARENESS SESSION
An Earthquake Awareness Session was conducted on 26 September 2025 at 10:00 AM by Snigdh A.V and Abhiram Murali K. The objective of the session was to educate students about earthquakes, their causes, and the safety measures to be followed during such natural disasters.
During the session, the resource persons explained how earthquakes occur and discussed the importance of preparedness. Students were introduced to key safety practices such as “Drop, Cover, and Hold,” staying away from tall structures, and moving to open spaces during an earthquake. They were also informed about emergency kits and the role of disaster management teams.
Demonstrations and visual presentations were used to help students understand the safety procedures more effectively. The session encouraged students to stay calm during emergencies and to help others when needed.
Overall, the program was informative and helped create awareness among students about earthquake safety and preparedness.
