Demonstration and Awareness Class for Earthquake
A Demonstration and Awareness Class on Earthquake Preparedness was conducted by Amaya K V on 29th September 2025 at 10:15 a.m.The session aimed to create awareness among students about the causes, effects, and safety measures to be taken during an earthquake.
The programme began with a short introduction explaining what earthquakes are and how they occur due to the movement of tectonic plates. This was followed by a demonstration on “Drop, Cover and Hold”technique, which showed students how to protect themselves during tremors. Visual aids and charts were used to make the session more interactive and informative.
Students actively participated by asking questions and sharing their own ideas on disaster preparedness. The importance of emergency kits, evacuation plans, and staying calm during such situations
