EARTHQUAKE AWARENESS SESSION
An Earthquake Awareness Session was conducted on 24 September 2025 at 10:30 AM by Vijnandas K. The purpose of the session was to provide students with essential knowledge about earthquakes and to help them understand the importance of safety and preparedness.
During the session, students were introduced to the causes and effects of earthquakes. The resource person explained key safety techniques such as “Drop, Cover, and Hold”, staying away from buildings and trees, and moving to open areas during an earthquake. Students also learned about emergency kits and the importance of remaining calm during such situations.
The session included educational visuals and demonstrations, making it engaging and easy for students to understand. Students actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding earthquake safety.
Overall, the session was informative and helped create awareness among students about disaster preparedness and safety measures related to earthquakes
