 Remedial Teaching Programme in Mathematics conducted

Kallachi: A Remedial Teaching Programme in Mathematics was organized at Government Higher Secondary School, Kallachi on 22nd September 2025 at 4:00 p.m. The programme was conducted by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GHSS Kallachi. The session aimed to support students who required additional guidance in mathematics and to enhance their conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities. The resource person for the programme was Ms. Hafsath E.K, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, Mahe, who effectively handled the remedial session.  She engaged the students through interactive activities, practical examples, and simplified explanations of core mathematical concepts, ensuring better comprehension and confidence among the learners. The programme was coordinated and supervised by prominent members from both institutions. The General Coordinator was Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE, Mahe, whose guidance ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Revathy, Assistant Professor of MCCTE, Mahe, provided valuable support in planning and organizing the programme. The Programme Coordinator from the host school was Mrs. Suchithra, Headmistress of GHSS Kallachi, who facilitated the arrangements and motivated the students to participate actively. The remedial session received positive feedback from both students and teachers. Participants expressed that the programme helped them clarify doubts and strengthened their understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts. The event concluded with words of appreciation from the coordinators, highlighting the importance of such collaborative initiatives in improving students’ academic performance and fostering partnerships between teacher education institutions and schools.
