A Demonstration and Awareness Session on “Remedial Teaching” was organized by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with GVHSS Koduvally on 22nd September 2025 at 11:30 a.m.
The session aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding of remedial strategies to support learners who face academic difficulties. The focus was on identifying learning gaps, providing individual attention, and applying effective teaching methods to help students achieve their full potential.
The resource person for the session was Ms. Fazna Afthab, 2nd-year B.Ed student, MCCTE, who presented practical approaches to remedial instruction through demonstrations and interactive discussions. Her presentation highlighted the importance of patience, encouragement, and personalized guidance in helping every learner progress at their own pace.
The theme of the session was beautifully captured in the quote —
“Every learner can shine – they just need the right light.”
The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Shajitha (Teacher, GVHSS Koduvally), who served as the general, IQAC, and program coordinators respectively.
The session concluded successfully, inspiring participants to adopt remedial techniques that promote inclusive education and holistic learning.
