Inclusive Education Support Session
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, in association with Iringannur Higher Secondary School, organized a session on “Inclusive Education Support” on 25th September 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at IHSS.
The session was handled by Ms. Fathimath Hasna A.K, Second Year B.Ed. student, MCCTE, who served as the Resource Person. She discussed the importance of inclusive education in ensuring equal learning opportunities for all learners, irrespective of their physical, emotional, social, or intellectual differences.
The session highlighted various strategies that teachers can adopt to promote inclusivity in classrooms, including differentiated instruction, peer support systems, and the use of assistive technologies. The resource person also emphasized the role of empathy and understanding in creating a welcoming classroom atmosphere for students with diverse needs.
The participants actively engaged in the discussion and shared their own classroom experiences related to inclusivity. The session provided valuable insights for future teachers to enhance their professional competence and sensitivity towards inclusive practices.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Sindhu Jayaraj (Principal, IHSS).
Overall, the session was informative and inspiring, contributing significantly to the professional development of teacher trainees.
