POCKET MONEY SAVING

Pocket Money Saving Awareness Programme

A Pocket Money Saving Awareness Programme was organized by MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with Sanskrit HSS on 23rd September 2025 at 2:00 pm. The session aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of saving money and developing good financial habits from a young age.

The resource person for the session was Athira C.V, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCTE. She conducted an engaging and informative session focusing on effective ways to manage and save pocket money. She explained the value of budgeting, setting financial goals, and distinguishing between needs and wants. Athira also discussed how small savings could lead to long-term benefits and encouraged students to cultivate financial discipline in their daily lives.

The session was interactive, with students enthusiastically sharing their spending habits and learning practical strategies to save money wisely. The resource person motivated them to become responsible money managers and to develop a positive attitude toward financial planning.

The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCTE), Ms. Revathy M (IQAC Co-ordinator, MCTE), and Mr. Sudheesh Babu (Principal, Sanskrit HSS). Students responded with positive feedback, describing the session as useful, inspiring, and relevant to their everyday lives
