CLASS ON MENSTRUAL HYGIENE

 The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with I. K. Kumaran Government Higher Secondary School, Mahe, organized a Class on Menstrual Hygiene on 17th September 2025 at 3:15 p.m.

The session was led by Ms. Sneha Anil, a 2nd-year B.Ed. student, who served as the Resource Person. She conducted an informative and interactive session focusing on the importance of menstrual hygiene management and breaking taboos related to menstruation.

The resource person discussed the biological aspects of menstruation, the importance of maintaining cleanliness, and the use of sanitary products for ensuring health and comfort. She also emphasized the need to create awareness among young girls about menstrual health and encouraged open discussions to promote confidence and self-care.

The programme was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE) as the General Coordinator, Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE) as the IQAC Coordinator, and Ms. Sreelatha N. V. (Headmistress, I.K.K.G.H.S.S.) as the Programme Coordinator.

The session was highly beneficial and enlightening. It helped the students gain a better understanding of menstrual hygiene and the importance of maintaining good health practices. The class concluded with an interactive discussion where students cleared their doubts and shared their views confidently.Overall, the Class on Menstrual Hygiene was informative, empowering, and deeply impactful, promoting health awareness and confidence among the students.
