YOGA TRAINING-RIHANA FATHIMA

The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, in association with Iringannur Higher Secondary School, organised a Yoga Training Session on 13th October 2025 at 4:00 PM at IHSS. The session aimed to promote physical well-being, mental calmness, and holistic health among the students and teachers. The resource person for the session was Ms. Rihana Fathima, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, who led the training with enthusiasm and dedication. She explained the importance of yoga in daily life and demonstrated various simple asanas and breathing techniques suitable for students and teachers. The participants actively engaged in the session and expressed their appreciation for the valuable experience. The programme was successfully co-ordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Sindhu Jayaraj (Principal, IHSS). The session concluded with the message that yoga is not merely physical exercise but a journey towards inner peace and self-awareness, echoing the words of the Bhagavad Gita: “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”
