TEACHING ABOUT LOCAL HISTORY AND LANDMARK-SARGA K M

On October 17, 2025, the MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, in collaboration with GVHSS Koduvally and IQAC, conducted an educational session on teaching about local history and landmarks. The main objective of the program was to help participants understand the significance of their roots and heritage in shaping identity. The resource person for the event was Sarga K M, a second-year English student at MCCTE. The session was coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathi M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Anusree (Teacher, GVHSS Koduvally). The event underscored the message that knowledge of one’s local history is essential for a meaningful understanding of personal and collective identity. This initiative provided valuable insights to the attendees, reinforcing the importance of connecting with local culture and historical backgrounds.
