REMEDIAL TEACHING-ANJANA DAS

The MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with GVHSS Koduvally, organized a programme on “Remedial Teaching” under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event was held on 16th October 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at GVHSS Koduvally. The session aimed to enhance the understanding of remedial teaching methods among teacher trainees and school teachers. The resource person for the programme was Ms. Anjana Das, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE, Mahe. She shared valuable insights on identifying learning difficulties among students and implementing effective remedial measures to support slow learners. Her presentation highlighted the importance of individual attention, differentiated instruction, and continuous assessment in improving academic performance. The programme was well-coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE, who served as the General Co-ordinator. Ms. Revathy M, Assistant Professor, acted as the IQAC Co-ordinator, while Smitha, a teacher from GVHSS Koduvally, served as the Programme Co-ordinator.The event concluded with an interactive session where participants shared their reflections and experiences related to remedial teaching. The session emphasized the quote displayed in the poster — “Every child has potential, not every child uncovers it at the same time.” This thought aptly summarized the spirit of the programme, encouraging educators to nurture each learner according to their individual needs.Overall, the event was highly informative and motivating, providing participants with practical strategies to improve their teaching effectiveness and support inclusive education.
