Awareness Programme on Managing Screen Time
An Awareness Programme on “Managing Screen Time” was organised by the IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE) in association with Iringannur Higher Secondary School (IHSS) on 10th October 2025 at 3:00 PM in the school campus.
The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of excessive screen usage and to guide them on how to maintain a healthy balance between digital and real-life activities.
The resource person for the session was Ms. Rihana Fathima, a second-year B.Ed student of MCCTE, who effectively handled the session through an interactive and engaging presentation. She discussed the physical, mental, and social impacts of screen addiction, and shared practical tips on how to manage screen time productively.
The session was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Sindhu Jayaraj (Principal, IHSS). Students actively participated in the discussion, sharing their experiences and asking relevant questions about digital well-being.
The programme was very informative and helped students understand the importance of mindful screen usage in today’s technology-driven world. Overall, the session achieved its goal of promoting awareness on maintaining a healthy digital lifestyle
