A programme on “Inclusive Education Support” was jointly organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe (MCCTE Mahe) in association with GVHSS Koduvally. The session was held on 17th October 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the premises of GVHSS Koduvally.
The main aim of the session was to create awareness among teachers and teacher trainees about the importance of inclusive education and the ways to support students with diverse needs in a classroom environment.
The resource person for the programme was Ms. Athira Sunil P, a second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE Mahe. She delivered an informative session emphasizing the importance of recognizing and respecting the individual differences of learners. She highlighted that teachers should avoid making assumptions or predictions about students based solely on their appearance, movement, or communication style.
The event was well-coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal of MCCTE Mahe and General Co-ordinator of the programme. The IQAC Co-ordinator was Ms. Revathy M, Assistant Professor at MCCTE Mahe, and the Programme Co-ordinator was Ms. Bijisha, a teacher at GVHSS Koduvally.
Overall, the session provided valuable insights into inclusive teaching practices and encouraged participants to adopt a more empathetic and supportive approach towards all learners, ensuring equal opportunities in education.
