Fire Safety Awareness Programme
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, in association with Iringannur Higher Secondary School, organized a Fire Safety Awareness Programme on 21st October 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at IHSS.
The session was led by Ms. Fathimath Hasna A.K, Second Year B.Ed. student, MCCTE, who served as the Resource Person. The programme aimed to create awareness among students and staff about the importance of fire safety, preventive measures, and emergency responses in case of fire accidents.
The resource person explained various causes of fire incidents and demonstrated essential fire safety practices such as using fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures, and first-aid responses. She also emphasized the importance of maintaining calm and presence of mind during emergencies.
The session was highly informative and interactive, as participants shared their experiences and clarified doubts regarding safety measures at schools and homes. It helped in developing a safety-conscious attitude among students and teachers alike.
The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE), Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE), and Ms. Sindhu Jayaraj (Principal, IHSS).
Overall, the session was very effective in spreading awareness about fire safety and preparedness, making it a valuable and educational experience for all attendees.
