The Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education
(MCCTE), Mahe, organized a critical Earthquake Awareness
Session on October 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm. This session was a
joint initiative by the college's IQAC in collaboration with
KRHSS Purameri, designed to educate students and staff on
earthquake preparedness, safety measures during a seismic
event, and proper response protocols. The program's goal was
to empower attendees with the knowledge to protect
themselves and others in case of an earthquake. Ms. Krishna
Theertha B. R. served as the expert Resource Person, providing
essential information and guidance on disaster mitigation.
The successful organization of the session was facilitated by
the coordinating team. Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE)
provided the overall leadership as the General Coordinator. Ms.
Revathi M (Asst. Prof., MCCTE) managed the quality
assurance and logistical aspects in her role as the IQAC
Coordinator. The inter-institutional coordination and event
management were handled by Ms. Shyni K (HM, KRHSS),
who served as the Programme Coordinator, ensuring a smooth
and impactful awareness session.
