IT QUIZ COMPETITION

The IT Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted an IT Quiz Competition on 23 February 2025 at 10:00 AM with the objective of deepening students’ awareness of information technology and promoting a healthy spirit of competition.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by the IT Club coordinator, who highlighted the relevance of IT knowledge in today’s digital era. Students participated enthusiastically, forming teams to compete in multiple rounds of the quiz.

The competition included rounds such as:

• Basics of Information Technology

• Computer Hardware & Software

• Internet and Cyber Safety

• Current Trends in Technology

• Rapid Fire Round

Each round tested the participants’ accuracy, speed, and conceptual understanding. The quiz master conducted the event in an engaging manner, ensuring active involvement of the audience as well.

After a closely contested final round, the top-scoring teams were declared winners. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the winners and participants for their commendable performance.

The programme concluded with remarks by faculty members, who appreciated the IT Club for organising an informative and intellectually stimulating event. The event successfully enriched students’ IT knowledge and boosted their confidence.

Overall, the IT Quiz Competition was a well-organised and impactful programme that fulfilled its objectives and received positive feedback from both participants and teachers.
