The programme aimed to help students relieve stress, improve mood, and enhance mindfulness by engaging in therapeutic outdoor activities.
The programme began with a brief introduction on the importance of nature in maintaining mental health. Students were guided to step away from routine academic pressure and immerse themselves in the natural surroundings. Activities included mindful walking, breathing exercises, quiet observation of nature, and group interactions in an open, refreshing environment. Students were encouraged to observe the sounds, colours, textures, and movements in nature to build awareness and calmness.
Participants actively engaged in the outdoor activities with enthusiasm and openness. The peaceful environment helped students feel relaxed and emotionally refreshed. The session highlighted how exposure to nature can reduce anxiety, improve concentration, and promote emotional stability. Faculty coordinators guided students through simple reflective practices to help them connect their emotions with their surroundings.
The programme also encouraged students to interact positively with peers, strengthening social bonding and emotional support. Many students expressed that they felt lighter, calmer, and more energized after the session. The activity helped them understand the importance of taking time for mental rest and self-care.
The programme concluded with a short reflection session where students shared their feelings and experiences. Coordinators encouraged students to regularly spend time in natural environments as a simple and effective method of maintaining mental well-being.
