MATHS PUZZLES AND RIDDLES ACTIVITY

The Mathematics Club of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, conducted a Maths Puzzles and Riddles Activity on 20 February 2025 at 11:55 AM. The programme aimed to make mathematics enjoyable and interactive by engaging students in logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving through fun and challenging puzzles.
The session began with a welcome address by the club coordinator, who highlighted the role of puzzles and riddles in strengthening mathematical reasoning and enhancing cognitive skills. The activity included a variety of puzzles such as number patterns, logic riddles, sequence problems, shape-based puzzles, and lateral thinking challenges.
Students participated enthusiastically, working both individually and in groups to solve the given tasks. The activity encouraged collaboration, quick thinking, and analytical reasoning, creating a lively and intellectually stimulating environment. Faculty members facilitated the session by offering guidance and motivating participants to think creatively.
The event successfully demonstrated how mathematics can be approached in a fun and engaging manner, helping students build confidence and develop a positive attitude towards the subject. The puzzles also served as effective tools for future teachers to incorporate engaging strategies in their classrooms.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the principal, faculty coordinators, and students for their active participation and support in making the activity meaningful and enjoyable.
