The Health Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Cancer Awareness Class on 4th February 2025 at 10:30 AM in observance of World Cancer Day. The programme aimed to educate students about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle.
The session commenced with a welcome address, followed by a brief introduction to the significance of World Cancer Day. The resource person highlighted the rising concerns related to cancer and the crucial role awareness plays in reducing its impact.
During the session, participants were provided with essential information, including:

Causes and risk factors such as lifestyle habits, genetics, and environmental exposures
