The Green Protocol Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Workshop on 2nd February 2024 at 10:00 AM with the aim of promoting eco-friendly practices, raising awareness about sustainable living, and encouraging students to take initiative in environmental conservation.

The programme began with a welcome address followed by an introduction to the purpose of the workshop. Students were informed about the importance of adopting a green protocol mindset to reduce waste, conserve resources, and protect the environment.

1. Workshop Theme and Objectives

The workshop focused on practical approaches to sustainability, highlighting topics such as:

  • Waste reduction and segregation

  • Eliminating single-use plastics

  • Sustainable consumption habits

  • Reusing and recycling materials

  • Green alternatives for daily life

  • Environmental responsibilities of individuals and institutions

2. Expert Session

A resource person led an engaging session explaining:

  • The environmental impact of non-biodegradable waste

  • Benefits of green protocol implementation

  • Strategies for reducing carbon footprint

  • Role of youth in building an eco-conscious community
