The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Mahe, organized a One Day Seminar titled “Her Cycle, Her Strength” on 11th September 2025 at the MCCTE Auditorium. This was the first session in a series aimed at raising awareness about women’s health and empowerment through education.
The resource person for the session was Dr. A. R. Pushpa Rani, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Prasuti & Stree Roga, RGAMC&H, Mahe. Dr. Pushpa Rani delivered an insightful and informative talk focusing on understanding the menstrual cycle, its physiological significance, myths surrounding it, and ways to approach it with a positive and empowering perspective.
She emphasized the importance of menstrual health, self-awareness, and how traditional Ayurvedic practices can aid in managing menstrual health more holistically. The session provided students and faculty with valuable knowledge and helped dispel long-held misconceptions regarding menstruation.
The seminar saw active participation from teacher trainees and faculty members. An interactive Q&A session followed the talk, where students clarified their doubts and appreciated the openness of the discussion.
The program was coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal of MCCTE, and Ms. Revathy Madhusoodanan, Assistant Professor and IQAC Coordinator. Both coordinators ensured the smooth execution of the event, contributing to its success.
