TEACHING ABOUT LOCAL HISTORY AND LANDMARK

A class on Local History and Landmarks was conducted today. The session began with an introduction on the importance of understanding one’s own place, culture, and history. Students were encouraged to share their knowledge of well-known places in the locality.

The teacher explained the historical background of significant landmarks, such as old temples, forts, libraries, museums, and public buildings. Students learned how these landmarks connect the present with the past and reflect the traditions and achievements of the community.

To make the session interactive, questions were asked and students described landmarks they had visited with their families. A discussion was also held on the need to preserve these places for future generations.

The students showed keen interest and participated actively. Many shared personal experiences and stories related to local landmarks
