Personal Hygiene Awareness Programme
The MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Government Middle School, Mahe, organised a Personal Hygiene Awareness Programme under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The programme was conducted on September 12, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Government Middle School, Mahe.The resource person for the session was Ms.Athira. K. R, a Second-year B.Ed. student of MCCTE. She delivered an informative and interactive session focusing on the importance of maintaining personal hygiene for a healthy and confident life.
During the session, Ms. Athira highlighted key aspects of personal hygiene such as cleanliness, proper handwashing techniques, oral hygiene, grooming habits, and menstrual hygiene for girls. She also explained how good hygiene practices help prevent diseases and promote physical and mental well-being.
The session included practical demonstrations and discussions that encouraged active participation from the students. The programme was well-received by the students and teachers. It successfully spread awareness about the importance of personal hygiene and encouraged children to take responsibility for their own health and cleanliness.
