The IQAC of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with Govt. Middle School, Mahe, organised an Energy Conservation Awareness Programme on 12th September 2025 at 11.30 a.m. The programme was aimed at spreading awareness among students about the importance of conserving energy and adopting sustainable practices in daily life.
The session was led by Ms. Anjana O. K., a second-year B.Ed student of MCCTE, who served as the resource person. She effectively highlighted the need for energy conservation, simple methods for reducing wastage, and the role of young learners in promoting eco-friendly initiatives. Her presentation was engaging and encouraged active participation from the students of Govt. Middle School.
The programme was co-ordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE) as the General Co-ordinator, Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE) as the IQAC Co-ordinator, and Mr. Ajith Prasad (Headmaster, Govt. Middle School, Mahe) as the Programme Co-ordinator.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion where students shared their ideas on conserving energy in their homes and schools. The programme successfully inspired the young minds to adopt energy-saving habits and contribute to protecting the environment.
