DEMONSTRATION OF PROPER WAY OF WASHING HANDS AND USE OF HANDWASH

 The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in association with I.K. Kumaran Government Higher Secondary School, Mahe, organized a demonstration on the proper way of washing hands and the use of handwash as part of a personal hygiene awareness programme on 17th September 2025 at 11:34 a.m.

The session was led by Ms. Bhavana A, a 2nd-year B.Ed. student, who served as the Resource Person. She demonstrated the correct steps for effective handwashing and explained the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene in preventing the spread of diseases.

The session aimed to create awareness among students about healthy habits and personal cleanliness. The demonstration included a step-by-step explanation of the proper technique for washing hands using soap or handwash, followed by practical participation from the students.

The programme was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K (Principal, MCCTE) as the General Coordinator, Ms. Revathy M (Assistant Professor, MCCTE) as the IQAC Coordinator, and Ms. Sreelatha N.V. (Headmistress, I.K.K.G.H.S.S.) as the Programme Coordinator.

The session was informative and engaging, helping students understand the importance of hygiene in daily life. It concluded with a short interactive discussion, where students shared their thoughts on maintaining cleanliness and preventing illness through simple hygiene practices.Overall, the demonstration was educational, practical, and highly beneficial for all participants.
