SCRIPT READING SESSION CONDUCTED BY FILM CLUB OF MCCTE MAHE
The Film Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized an engaging Script Reading Session on 23 April 2025 at 12:00 PM in the college campus. The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of film scripts, character development, dialogue delivery, and narrative structure.
The session began with a brief introduction by the club coordinators, who highlighted the significance of script reading as an essential component of filmmaking and performance. Participants were encouraged to observe how scripts transform into scenes through voice modulation, expression, and interpretation.
Students actively took part in reading selected scripts, taking on various characters and bringing the dialogues to life. The activity created an interactive and lively atmosphere, allowing participants to explore the nuances of tone, pacing, and emotional expression. It also helped them appreciate the craft behind writing and performing for the screen.
Faculty members provided constructive feedback on clarity, articulation, expression, and engagement. The session proved beneficial in improving communication skills, boosting confidence, and deepening students’ interest in film studies.
