REELS MAKING COMPETITION CONDUCTED BY FILM CLUB OF MCCTE MAHE
The Film Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized a creative and engaging Reels Making Competition on 9 April 2025 at 3:00 PM in the college campus. The programme aimed to encourage digital creativity, storytelling skills, and media awareness among student-teachers in line with contemporary digital trends.
The event began with an introduction by the club coordinators, who emphasized the growing significance of short-form video content in communication, education, and entertainment. Participants were encouraged to craft meaningful, original, and visually appealing reels using themes related to cinema, social issues, creativity, or campus life.
Students showcased impressive talent in videography, editing, sound design, and on-screen performance. The reels displayed a variety of styles, including humorous clips, awareness messages, film-inspired content, and visually rich short narratives. The screening of selected entries generated an enthusiastic response from the audience.
A panel of faculty members evaluated the reels based on creativity, originality, clarity of message, technical quality, and overall impact. The best entries were recognized and appreciated with certificates.
Overall, the Reels Making Competition provided a platform for students to explore digital media skills and express themselves creatively, adding vibrancy to the co-curricular activities of the college.
