POSTER MAKING COMPETITION

The Biological Science Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Poster Making Competition on 22nd April 2025 at 11:00 AM in connection with environmental and biological awareness initiatives. The event aimed to encourage creativity, deepen students’ understanding of biological concepts, and promote awareness on issues related to nature, health, and sustainability.
The programme began with a brief introduction on the purpose of the competition and guidelines regarding themes, materials, and evaluation criteria. Students were encouraged to prepare posters highlighting topics such as biodiversity conservation, environmental protection, human health, ecosystems, and the importance of sustainable living. This allowed participants to combine scientific knowledge with artistic expression.
Students actively took part and produced visually appealing posters filled with powerful messages, illustrations, and scientific ideas. The posters reflected creativity, clarity of thought, and an understanding of key biological and environmental issues. Faculty members and peers viewed the displayed posters, appreciating the meaningful concepts and effort behind each creation.
The entries were evaluated based on creativity, scientific relevance, message clarity, presentation, and originality. Judges commended the participants for their thoughtful themes and effective use of visuals to communicate biological awareness. The competition helped students enhance their conceptual understanding, artistic skills, and ability to communicate scientific ideas effectively.
The programme concluded with words of appreciation from the coordinators, who encouraged students to continue using art as a medium to promote biological awareness and environmental responsibility. The Poster Making Competition was a successful and engaging initiative, reflecting the Biological Science Club’s commitment to fostering scientific literacy, creativity, and environmental consciousness among students.
