 DREAM DESTINATION ACTIVITY

Organized by the Tour Club, MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education
Date: 22 April 2025
Time: 11:00 AM

The Tour Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a Dream Destination activity on 22nd April 2025 at 11:00 AM with the objective of encouraging students to explore their travel interests, enhance geographical awareness, and develop creativity and presentation skills. The programme aimed to help students express their aspirations related to travel while learning about different cultures, locations, and tourism features.

The programme began with a brief introduction explaining the concept of dream destinations and the importance of travel in broadening knowledge, cultural understanding, and personal growth. Students were encouraged to select a destination of their choice—either national or international—and prepare a short presentation describing why they chose that place.

Students presented their dream destinations with great enthusiasm, sharing details about famous landmarks, climate, culture, food, travel routes, and unique attractions of each location. Some students also included budget planning, best seasons to visit, and safety aspects. The activity reflected creativity, confidence, and good research skills among the participants.

The presentations created a lively and informative atmosphere as students virtually travelled across different countries, beaches, hill stations, heritage cities, and adventure spots through their descriptions. Faculty members appreciated the originality and clarity of the presentations and encouraged students to continue developing their communication and exploration skills.

Students expressed that the activity helped them gain new information about various tourist destinations and motivated them to dream big and plan future travels responsibly. The programme also strengthened peer learning and mutual inspiration.

The programme concluded with appreciation from the coordinators, who congratulated all the participants for their active involvement and creative efforts. The Dream Destination activity was a successful and enriching initiative, reflecting the Tour Club’s commitment to promoting creativity, travel awareness, confidence, and experiential learning among students.
