PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
CONDUCTED BY THE ARTS CLUB OF MCCTE MAHE
The Arts Club of MCCTE, Mahe organized a Photography Contest on 7 April 2025 at 10:00 AM in the college campus. The event aimed to encourage students to explore their creativity through the lens and to develop skills in visual storytelling, composition, and aesthetic observation.
The contest began with a brief introduction by the club coordinators, who explained the rules, themes, and judging criteria. Participants were allowed to capture photographs based on themes such as nature, campus life, culture, and abstract perspectives. The activity encouraged students to observe their surroundings keenly and express their ideas artistically.
Students participated enthusiastically, presenting photographs that displayed originality, creativity, and a strong sense of visual appeal. Each participant showcased a unique perspective, experimenting with angles, lighting, framing, and timing to create compelling images.
The submitted photographs were evaluated by the judging panel based on creativity, technical quality, thematic clarity, and overall impact. The judges appreciated the participants’ ability to convey meaningful stories and emotions through their photographs.
The programme concluded with the announcement of winners and words of appreciation from the Arts Club coordinators. They expressed gratitude to the college administration, faculty members, and all student participants for their support in making the event successful.
The Photography Contest effectively fulfilled its objective of promoting artistic expression and helping student teachers develop skills in observation, creativity, and visual communication.
