National Sports Day Celebration
The Sports Club of MCCTE, Mahe celebrated National Sports Day in online mode on 29 August 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
The programme aimed to highlight the importance of sports, physical fitness, and an active lifestyle among students. As the event was conducted online, it provided an opportunity for participants to join from their homes and engage in activities promoting health and well-being.
The session began with a brief introduction on the significance of National Sports Day, observed to honour the legendary Indian hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. Students were encouraged to participate in simple fitness activities, share their sports experiences, and discuss the role of sports in enhancing discipline, teamwork, and mental strength.
Interactive discussions and motivational messages formed an important part of the programme, inspiring students to incorporate regular physical exercise into their daily routine. The online format ensured smooth participation and fostered a sense of unity and enthusiasm despite the virtual setting.
