Diwali , also called Deepavali is the Hindu festival of lights , with variations celebrated in other Indian religions such as Jainism and Sikhism. It symbolises the spiritual victory of Dharma and Adharma , light over darkness , good overview , and knowledge over ignorance. It is celebrated over five days. It is often referred to as the “Festival of Lights”. It is typically falls between Mid-october And mid-November. On this year we celebrated Diwali on 31st October 2024.
The Diwali program was celebrated by Mathematics department and was led by Soorya Sugathan. Soorya delivered a speech on the topic Diwali. Highlighted history, significance, traditions, five day celebration of Diwali,regional celebration, Diwali foods.
