World Radiology Day is observed every year on 8th November to commemorate the historic discovery of x-radiation by Sir Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen which changed the field of healthcare and medicine. This day recognises and honours the pivotal role of radiographers in the modern healthcare system. This year, 2024, the World Radiography Day Theme is "Radiographers: Seeing the Unseen". World Radiography Day was observed by the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists. In 2012, the first major event of the day was organized when the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the American College of Radiology (ACR) joined together for the initiative. The 11th International Day of Radiology will be observed this year.
