National Energy Conservation Day Observation
The IQAC of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in collaboration with the Energy Club, observed National Energy Conservation Day on 14 December 2025 by organizing a video presentation on energy conservation at 9.00 PM.
The programme was conducted under the general coordination of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, MCCTE. The IQAC coordination was efficiently handled by Mr. Arun U, Assistant Professor, MCCTE. The programme coordination was undertaken by Ms. Chaithanya P, Assistant Professor, MCCTE. The student coordinators for the programme were Ms. Aiswarya V and Ms. Anusree T. H.
The video presentation focused on the importance of energy conservation, the need for judicious use of energy resources, and the promotion of renewable and sustainable energy practices. The session emphasized simple and practical measures that individuals can adopt in their daily lives to reduce energy consumption and protect the environment.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the programme. The presentation helped in creating awareness about the significance of conserving energy for sustainable development and environmental protection.
The programme concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants. The observation of National Energy Conservation Day served as an effective platform to instil responsibility and consciousness towards energy conservation among future educators.
