First Year School Internship Visit
PM SHRI Usman Government High School, Chalakara–Mahe
As part of the First Year B.Ed. School Internship Programme, a group of student teachers visited PM SHRI Usman Government High School Chalakara Mahe. The visit was organised to provide the students with practical exposure to the functioning of a secondary school and to observe real classroom situations.During the visit, the student teachers had the opportunity to observe the school infrastructure, classroom arrangements, and the overall academic atmosphere of the institution. The school, functioning under the Government of Puducherry, provides quality education to students in the region and is affiliated with the CBSE curriculum.
The interns interacted with the school authorities and teachers to understand the organisation of school activities, teaching methods, and classroom management techniques. Through observation and discussion, the student teachers gained insights into lesson planning, student engagement strategies, and the responsibilities of teachers in maintaining an effective learning environment.
The visit also helped the students understand how theoretical concepts studied in the B.Ed. course are applied in real classroom situations. The well-maintained campus and disciplined atmosphere of the school reflected the commitment of the institution towards providing quality education.
Overall, the visit to PM SHRI Usman Government High School, Chalakara–Mahe was a valuable learning experience for the first-year B.Ed. students. It enabled them to gain practical knowledge about school functioning and prepared them for their future teaching practice during the internship programme.
