First Year School Internship Visit
V. N. Purushothaman Government Higher Secondary School, Palloor
As part of the First Year B.Ed. School Internship Programme, a group of student teachers visited V. N. Purushothaman Government Higher Secondary School Palloor Mahe. The purpose of the visit was to provide the student teachers with practical exposure to the functioning of a higher secondary school and to observe the teaching–learning process in a real classroom environment.
During the visit, the student teachers observed the school infrastructure, classroom arrangements, and the overall academic atmosphere of the institution. The school offers education at the secondary and higher secondary levels and is affiliated with the CBSE curriculum. The institution plays an important role in providing quality education to students in the region.
The interns interacted with the teachers and school authorities to understand the organisational structure of the school, classroom management techniques, and the teaching strategies used in different subjects. They also gained insights into lesson planning, student evaluation methods, and the responsibilities of teachers in maintaining an effective learning environment.
The visit enabled the student teachers to connect the theoretical concepts studied in the B.Ed. course with practical classroom experiences. Observing the functioning of a higher secondary school helped them understand the challenges and responsibilities involved in teaching adolescent learners.
Overall, the visit to V. N. Purushothaman Government Higher Secondary School, Palloor was a valuable and enriching experience for the first-year B.Ed. students.
