First Year School Internship Visit
Government Lower Primary School, Parakkal, Mahe
As part of the First Year B.Ed. School Internship Programme, a group of student teachers visited Government Lower Primary School Parakkal Mahe. The purpose of the visit was to provide the student teachers with practical exposure to the functioning of a primary school and to observe the teaching–learning process at the elementary level.
During the visit, the student teachers observed the infrastructure, classroom environment, and the overall functioning of the school. The institution provides primary education to children in the locality and plays an important role in developing the basic learning skills and values among young learners.
The interns interacted with the teachers and school authorities to understand classroom management, teaching strategies, and the use of various teaching aids to make lessons more effective and engaging for students. They also observed the interaction between teachers and students and the methods used to maintain a positive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
The visit enabled the student teachers to relate the theoretical knowledge gained during their B.Ed. course with the practical aspects of teaching. It helped them understand the importance of patience, creativity, and effective communication while teaching young children.
