First Year School Internship Visit
Government Middle School, Avaroth, Mahe
As part of the First Year B.Ed. School Internship Programme, a group of student teachers visited Government Middle School Avaroth Mahe. The visit was organised to provide the student teachers with practical exposure to the functioning of a middle school and to observe the teaching–learning process in a real classroom environment.
During the visit, the student teachers observed the infrastructure, classroom arrangements, and the overall academic atmosphere of the institution. The school provides education at the middle school level and follows the CBSE curriculum. It plays an important role in providing quality education and academic support to students in the locality.
The interns interacted with the teachers and school authorities to understand the organisation and management of school activities. They also observed classroom teaching methods, student participation, and various strategies used by teachers to maintain discipline and ensure effective learning.
The visit helped the student teachers gain practical knowledge about classroom management, lesson planning, and the use of teaching aids in the teaching–learning process. It also enabled them to connect the theoretical concepts studied in the B.Ed. programme with real classroom experiences.
Overall, the visit to Government Middle School, Avaroth, Mahe was a valuable and enriching experience for the first-year B.Ed. students. It helped them develop a better understanding of school functioning, teaching practices, and the professional responsibilities of teachers in the education system.
