Observance of International Human Solidarity Day
Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Social Science Club, observed International Human Solidarity Day on 20 December 2025. The programme was conducted online via Google Meet at 9.00 p.m., with the objective of promoting the values of unity, mutual support, empathy, and shared responsibility among students.
The programme commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of International Human Solidarity Day, which emphasizes collective action, social justice, and cooperation in addressing global challenges. The session focused on fostering awareness about the importance of standing together as a global community, especially in times of social, economic, and humanitarian crises.
Students actively participated in the programme by engaging in discussions and reflections on themes such as social responsibility, inclusiveness, compassion, and global citizenship. The online interaction enabled students to share their views on how solidarity plays a crucial role in building peaceful and sustainable societies. The programme helped sensitize future teachers to the importance of nurturing human values and social consciousness in their professional and personal lives.
The event was coordinated by the student coordinators Abhisree P T K and Aishwarya S Kumar, under the guidance of Dr. Sreelatha K, Principal, who served as the General Coordinator. The programme was effectively organized with the support of Mr. Arun U, IQAC Coordinator, and Ms. Namitha T, Programme Coordinator.
The observance of International Human Solidarity Day was meaningful and informative, reinforcing the spirit of unity and cooperation among the participants. The programme successfully met its objectives and contributed to strengthening students’ awareness of social values and global solidarity.
