Creative Drawing Activity

 Creative Drawing Activity

A creative drawing activity was conducted at Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education (MCCTE), Mahe with the active participation of student teachers. The programme aimed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression among the students while enhancing their teaching skills through engaging classroom activities.

The session began with a brief introduction by the faculty member, who explained the importance of creative activities in teaching and learning. The instructor guided the students on how drawing and colouring can be used as effective pedagogical tools in classrooms to stimulate students’ imagination and improve their engagement in learning.

During the activity, the student teachers were divided into small groups and were given drawing sheets and colouring materials. Each group worked together to design and colour creative patterns and drawings. The participants enthusiastically shared ideas, discussed colour combinations, and supported each other in completing their artwork.

The classroom was filled with enthusiasm as students actively participated in the group work. The activity not only helped in developing artistic skills but also strengthened teamwork, communication, and cooperative learning among the participants.

The programme concluded successfully with the appreciation of the students’ efforts and creativity. Such activities help future teachers understand the value of integrating creative and participatory methods in the teaching–learning process.
