GUESS THE LANGUAGE” GAME
The Language Club of MCCTE Mahe organized an interactive Guess the Language game on 30 September 2024 at 2:00 PM in the college campus. The activity aimed to promote linguistic curiosity, enhance listening skills, and broaden students’ awareness of different languages spoken across the world.
The programme began with a brief introduction by the club coordinators, who explained the rules and the educational purpose of the game. Students were presented with audio clips, scripts, or short phrases from various languages, and they had to identify the language based on pronunciation patterns, writing style, or cultural cues.
Participants actively took part in the game, showcasing enthusiasm, quick thinking, and teamwork. The activity created a lively atmosphere as students attempted to recognize familiar and unfamiliar languages. It helped improve their auditory discrimination skills and strengthened their understanding of global linguistic diversity.
The session concluded with appreciation from the coordinators for the students’ participation and curiosity. Overall, the Guess the Language game was a fun-filled and enriching event that successfully promoted language awareness in an enjoyable manner.
