Community Living Camp 2024: KOODE
The Community Living Camp 2024 was organized by MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, for the first-year B.Ed. students (2024–26 batch). The camp was held from 18th to 22nd September 2024 at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Velliyode, Kozhikode District.
Day 1 (18th Sept)
The camp commenced with a Vilambara Jatha followed by the Inaugural Ceremony. The inauguration was graced by several dignitaries, including Sri. P. Surendran Master and Dr. Sreelatha K., Principal of MCCTE, Mahe. The evening session included an Ice Breaking activity led by folklore artist Sri. Sudhilal Ondhath.
Day 2 (19th Sept)
The day began with a morning exercise session. A skill development program titled “Mind Your Mind” was conducted by Dr. Gireesh Babu. Afternoon sessions focused on school campus beautification, and the evening featured a captivating folk performance by Mr. Mathews Wayanad, a State Folklore Award winner.
Day 3 (20th Sept)
The third day included Nadaka Kalari, a drama training workshop by Mr. Lineesh Narayankulam. Beautification efforts continued in the afternoon, and the evening session called “Mind Fusion & Rhythm Creations” showcased creative performances by students.
Day 4 (21st Sept)
A sightseeing trip to Thirika Kayam was organized in the morning. The evening featured “Kalayiloode Oru Yathra”, a cultural extravaganza with artist Mr. Sudhan Kaiveli. The day ended with a Campfire and overall evaluation.
Day 5 (22nd Sept)
The final day focused on camp site cleaning and wrapping up activities. Students returned to the college after a successful and enriching camp experience.
Committees & Coordination
The camp was smoothly managed by various committees including Programme, Food, Discipline, First Aid, Publicity, and Cleaning, with active participation from both faculty and student.
