Report on District-Level Quiz Competition 2024

On September 2, 2024, a district-level quiz competition was organized by the National Health Mission, Government of Puducherry in connection with the 39th National Fortnight on Eye Donation 2024. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges in the Mahe region, including prestigious institutions such as Mahe Institute of Dental Science and Rajiv Gandhi Ayurveda Medical College.
Representing Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, C. Nandana (1st-year B.Ed. English) and Keerthana V. (1st-year B.Ed. Physical Science) excelled in the competition, securing the first prize along with a cash award of Rs 1500. Their remarkable performance stood out as they outscored students from medical backgrounds, demonstrating their excellent preparation and sharp intellect.
Prior to the district-level event, a college-level quiz competition was held at Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education to select participants. A total of seven students took part in this internal competition, including Nahal (Social Science option), Rithula, Surmina, C. Nandana (English), Sangeerth, Keerthana V., and Krishna Theertha (Physical Science). The quiz was conducted individually, and after a competitive first round, C. Nandana and Keerthana V. emerged with the highest scores, earning them the opportunity to represent the college at the district level.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication and academic excellence of the students of Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, who continue to make the institution proud through their outstanding performances in various competitions.
