 “WALL OF THOUGHTS” ACTIVITY

Organized by the Psychology Club, MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe
Date: 16 September 2024
Time: 10:30 AM

The Psychology Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe conducted a creative and reflective activity titled “Wall of Thoughts” on 16th September 2024 at 10:30 AM. The programme aimed to provide students with a platform to express their emotions, ideas, motivations, and reflections, thereby promoting self-awareness, mental well-being, and positive thinking.

The event began with a brief introduction on the purpose of the activity, highlighting the importance of giving space for emotional expression and encouraging open dialogue about psychological wellness. A designated wall area was prepared on the campus where students could freely contribute their thoughts in the form of quotes, drawings, messages, affirmations, and personal reflections.

Students actively participated by writing meaningful and inspiring messages on colourful notes and posting them on the wall. Many contributions focused on themes such as self-confidence, resilience, emotional balance, kindness, stress management, gratitude, and personal growth. The activity created a visually appealing and emotionally uplifting space that encouraged students to pause, reflect, and connect with their inner thoughts.

Faculty members also appreciated the initiative and acknowledged its role in fostering a supportive and mentally healthy campus environment. The Wall of Thoughts served as a reminder that emotional expression is essential for psychological well-being and that sharing positive messages can inspire peers and strengthen community bonding.

The programme concluded with appreciation from the coordinators, who encouraged students to continue practising mindfulness, empathy, and healthy emotional expression. The “Wall of Thoughts” activity was a simple yet impactful initiative, reflecting the Psychology Club’s commitment to nurturing mental health awareness, creativity, and emotional well-being among students.
