 COMPLAINT BOX SETUP INITIATIVE

The Grievance Club of MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe implemented a Complaint Box Setup initiative on 27th September 2024 at 12:40 PM with the objective of strengthening the grievance redressal system within the campus. This initiative aimed to provide students with a safe, confidential, and accessible platform to express their concerns, suggestions, and complaints.

The programme began with a brief introduction about the purpose and importance of having a functional grievance mechanism in an educational institution. Faculty coordinators explained that the complaint box would serve as a secure channel through which students could openly communicate issues related to academic matters, personal safety, harassment, infrastructure, or any other concerns that require attention.

The complaint box was installed in a prominent and easily accessible location within the campus to ensure maximum convenience for students. The Grievance Club assured students that all submissions would be reviewed regularly, handled confidentially, and addressed promptly in accordance with institutional policies. Students were also encouraged to use the platform responsibly and honestly.

During the initiative, students were informed about the procedures for submitting grievances, the role of the Grievance Club, and the steps involved in resolving complaints. The session emphasized the importance of fostering a supportive and transparent campus environment where students feel heard and valued.

The programme concluded with a message from the coordinators, urging students to make use of the complaint box whenever needed and assuring them of the institution’s commitment to maintaining a respectful, safe, and responsive learning environment. The Complaint Box Setup initiative was a meaningful step toward strengthening student support services and promoting a culture of trust and accountability on campus.
