 REPORT ON ENGINEER'S DAY


Engineers' Day is celebrated every year in India on 15th September to honor the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of the greatest engineers the country has ever produced. He was a visionary, civil engineer, and statesman whose contributions have left an indelible mark on India’s infrastructure and development.

This year, Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education proudly celebrated Engineers' Day on 15th September 2024, with great enthusiasm and participation from students and faculty alike.

The event commenced with a formal welcome speech by the Principal, emphasizing the importance of engineering in nation-building and the relevance of celebrating this day even in teacher education institutions. A brief presentation on the life and works of Sir M. Visvesvaraya was showcased, inspiring students with his achievements and dedication.

An interactive seminar titled “Engineering in Everyday Life: A Teacher’s Perspective” was conducted, linking engineering principles with pedagogical practices and classroom innovations.

The Engineers’ Day celebration at Mahe Cooperative College of Teacher Education was a meaningful and inspiring tribute to engineers across the nation. It reinforced the idea that engineering is not just a profession but a mindset that values innovation, problem-solving, and service to society. The program successfully resonated with the theme of building a better future through knowledge, design, and dedication.
