The Day 8 programmes of
“Kalaima” were successfully conducted on
27 April 2026 at
Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahé, under the auspices of the
IQAC in association with Ektha College Union. The competitions of the day focused on enhancing students’ analytical, literary, and artistic talents.
The events organized on the eighth day included Film Review (Malayalam) and Water Colour Competition.
The Film Review Competition in Malayalam was conducted in the auditorium from 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm. Students enthusiastically participated in the competition and presented thoughtful and creative reviews of films in Malayalam. The event encouraged participants to critically analyze themes, characters, storytelling techniques, and social messages portrayed in cinema, thereby enhancing their analytical and language skills.
The Water Colour Competition was held in the library from 1.00 pm to 1.30 pm. Participants showcased their artistic creativity and imagination through beautiful water colour paintings based on different themes and ideas. The competition highlighted the students’ sense of colour, aesthetic expression, and artistic talent.
The programmes were organized smoothly with the support and coordination of faculty members, student volunteers, and the College Union representatives. The competitions created a vibrant and creative atmosphere on the campus and motivated students to actively engage in literary and fine arts activities.
The eighth day of “Kalaima” concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and appreciation from students and staff, further enriching the spirit of creativity and cultural expression within the institution.
