The Day 1 programmes of “Kalaima” were successfully conducted on 07 April 2026 at Mahe Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahé, under the auspices of the IQAC in association with Ektha College Union. The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and created a vibrant atmosphere of creativity and healthy competition on the campus.
The competitions scheduled for the day included Caption Writing (English), Slogan Writing (English), and Mobile Photography.
The Caption Writing Competition was conducted in the college library from 1.30 pm to 2.00 pm. Students showcased their creativity and language proficiency by presenting meaningful and imaginative captions based on the given themes.
The Slogan Writing Competition was held in the auditorium from 2.00 pm to 2.30 pm. Participants actively engaged in framing impactful and thought-provoking slogans reflecting social awareness, motivation, and innovation.
The Mobile Photography Competition was organized from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm. Students enthusiastically captured creative and artistic photographs through their mobile cameras, displaying their talent in visual storytelling and photography skills.
The programmes were coordinated smoothly with the support of faculty members, student volunteers, and the College Union representatives. The competitions provided a valuable platform for students to express their talents, creativity, and innovative ideas.
The first day of “Kalaima” concluded successfully with active participation and appreciation from students and staff, setting an enthusiastic tone for the remaining events of the fest.
