Children’s Day Celebration

The MAHE Co-operative College of Teacher Education, Mahe, in collaboration with the LIKHA College Union and IQAC, organized a vibrant Children’s Day Celebration on 18 November 2025 for the 6th and 7th standard students of the Mahe region. The event was designed to celebrate the joy, energy, and creativity of childhood through a variety of arts and sports competitions.

The programme began at 10:00 AM with the registration of participants, followed by a series of engaging arts competitions. Students enthusiastically took part in Water Colouring, Patriotic Song, Letter Writing, Quiz Competition, and Solo Dance, showcasing their artistic abilities and creativity. Each event reflected the talent and enthusiasm of the young participants.

The afternoon session was dedicated to sports competitions that added excitement and teamwork to the celebration. Students actively participated in Musical Chair, Skipping, Spoon Racing, and Shuttle Run Relay, displaying great sportsmanship and energy.

A special highlight of the event was the Overall Championship, with prizes awarded as follows:

• First Prize: ₹2000 & Trophy

• First Runner-up: ₹1000 & Trophy

• Second Runner-up: ₹500 & Trophy

In addition, consolation prizes and participation certificates were distributed to all students, encouraging them to continue exploring their abilities.

The programme concluded with a Valedictory Function and Prize Distribution from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, where teachers, organizers, and guests appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students. The event successfully created a joyful, memorable, and motivating experience for all young learners, fulfilling the spirit of Children’s Day.
